At SHEDucation, we believe in the power of nature to enhance learning experiences.
Founded by a former headteacher, our aim is to merge educational practices with environmental awareness, resulting in positive outcomes for children and our natural world.
We are dedicated to creating nurturing environments where students can grow and thrive. These may be within a school setting or at home or in the middle of a field!!
SHEDucation was founded by Dave Baker after 30 years in mainstream education as a science teacher, SENDCo, deputy head, professional development manager, headteacher and executive headteacher. It has it's roots in the frustration felt by headteachers when seeking alternative and additional provision for children who struggled to maintain focus throughout the school day. Often these children would thrive in an outside environment doing practical activities. This, alongside a lifelong interest and love of our natural world, resulted in the SHEDucation offer; education which is practical, nature based and suited to the individual.
